We had a nice turnout as about 20 of you were able to make it. For the rest here is a quick summary of the IWDD meeting yesterday:
The neighborhoods first irrigation run and related communications with our new Irrigator Shari Harrington left a lot to be desired. To provide an opportunity for residents to meet directly with Shari, and to hopefully stem future problems, our IWDD facilitated this event. Shari apologized for the issues experienced by some residents. She restated her commitments to the neighborhood, providing better service, and improved communication. We reiterated the need for timely communication regarding service issues. We also asked Shari to reach out with our prior irrigator, Brett Crowther, to assist with the next irrigation. Given those commitments, and understanding this was her first run with us, the neighbors were willing to provide Shari another chance. We hope that this meeting solidifies a good footing with Shari for our next irrigation run. I am happy that the IWDD was able to provide this opportunity to represent the neighborhood’s irrigation interests. Irrigation is a lot of work, but irrigation provides tremendous financial and environmental benefits to the neighborhood with cooler green streets and subsequently lower utility and water costs. The full meeting minutes will be posted at www.arcadiacorners.com within a few days.
Thank you,
Your IWDD Board; Jeff (me), Nathan, and Laura
